Movie Extras Wanted in Cincinnati

More than 700 background artists are needed for the movie “Carol,” the feature film starring Oscar winner Cate Blanchett which is  shooting this spring in Cincinnati.

Producers also need 1950s cars, trucks, taxi cabs, vans, ambulances, motorcycles and buses for the background scenes of the lesbian drama set in 1952-53 New York.

You must be willing to work 12 hour days on weekdays. You must have reliable transportation, including for late-night filming. No visible tattoos when wearing short-sleeve shirts, pants or skirts. No visible piercings, other than for women’s ear rings. Men must have short hair  and women’s hair should not be longer than shoulder length, or extras must be willing to cut their hair short. Hair colour must be “natural,” with no “streak-type highlights,” or applicants must be willing to change hair colour
