Local extras wanted for film staring True Blood heartthrob Ryan Kwanten

An open casting call will be held Aug. 11 at the Recreation Centre

Based on Tim Sandlin’s quirky late-80s novel of the same name, Sex and Sunsets shoots in Banff, Canmore, Calgary, and Pincher Creek, bringing with it the popular Australian actor, better known as Jason Stackhouse on the hit HBO series, as well as familiar Canadian faces Catherine O’Hara and Sara Canning.

Shoot times are from Aug. 20 through Sept. 19 in Banff and Canmore. Kwanten plays the lead character, Leo Palamino.

Casting are looking looking men, women and teenagers of all ethnicities between the ages of 12-70 years old to be extras in the film.

An open casting call is being held Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. a the Fenlands Recreation Centre.
