Become an Extra and get PAID

Open Casting Call For Feature Film "42" For Background Talent Filming Is Tuesday




The City of Chattanooga Department of Education, Arts & Culture and the Chattanooga SE Tennessee Film Commission announce an open casting call for the feature film “42” will take place on Tuesday, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the center court of Eastgate Town Center, at 5600 Brainerd Road, 37411.

Casting directors with Catrett Locke Casting (Atlanta) announced they are searching for background talent for the film, produced by Legendary Films in Tennessee and Alabama in 2012. All positions are paid.

The film is based on the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey. It is written by Brian Helgeland and stars Harrison Ford and Chad Bozeman.

Catrett Locke Casting is specifically seeking:
· Casting ages 18 and over for “ALL LOOKS”- Looking for great character faces
· Baseball fans, umpires and coaches
· People with the 1940’s look.
· Everyone, please come relaxed and dress in your best 1940’s attire
Wardrobe notes:
· ABSOLUTELY NO BROWN
· Women-Dresses, oxford shoes, pumps, hats (small) vintage if they have them
· Men-Dress pants, Short Sleeve button shirts, suspenders, sportcoats, dress shoes, fedoras
Free parking or parking will be validated. Please bring a pen and headshots.

EAC Administrator Missy Crutchfield said, “The City of Chattanooga Department of Education, Arts & Culture’s Eastgate Senior Activity Center will be hosting a special Casting Call Open House throughout the day. If you are 55 and over or about to turn 55, stop by the center and learn more about the more than 100 unique activities, events, and bus excursions available.

Eastgate Town Center General Manager Paul Mallchok said, “We are honored to be hosting the casting call for the film ‘42’ at Eastgate Town Center. And it’s a great opportunity for people to come by and see what’s available here, including the Eastgate Senior Activity Center.”
